Hi, I’m Arndrea Taua from Optimal Sports Conditioning!

I am a 37 year old mother to my 4 children. Born in NZ, Wellington and raised in Western Australia where my fitness journey began. I am a fully certified Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist with over 16 years experience in the fitness industry.

By the age of 21, I played multiple sports at representative level for Western Australia, traveling all over the country competing as a high performance athlete. My personal training kick started at this time, allowing me to learn safe, relevant and specific skills to play at a high performance level.

I began my studies in Sport and Health Massage where I learnt the importance of body conditioning and recovery, and how this can increase your athletic performance. I have been in business in Rotorua for over 8 years and have worked with sedentary and active individuals. My more high profile clients come from NZR 7's, NRL and the BOP Steamers. This knowledge and experience has become an essential part of my business, in order to provide others with the necessary steps to prevent injuries or rehabilitate any ongoing injuries.

I have also been a member of BNI NZ in various leadership roles as a Visitor Host, Education Coordinator, Vice President and President.

Hi, I’m Tori from Optimal Sports Conditioning!

I am a certified personal trainer in Rotorua, I have over 9 years of experience in the gym environment and have built a huge passion for fitness over this time. I want to share my passion with you and help you get to the best version of your physical self!  One of my many goals is to help those who come to me, fall in love with their fitness journey rather than focus on the end result alone. 

I strongly believe that if you fall in love with the process of achieving your goal, you are guaranteed to achieve it.

I offer a range of different weight training sessions and exercise programs also!

 

I GET THINGS RIGHT. RIGHT FROM THE START.

The first crucial step is getting an in-depth understanding of your current physical condition, current program and future goals.

How often are you training? What type of training are you doing? What do you need to improve on? Are past injuries slowing you down? Do you have any specific areas of pain? And the list goes on and on.

When I have those answers – I’ll get you to perform a series of tests so I can analyse different biomechanical aspects. And from there, I’ll design a massage and or personal training program.


I BELIEVE A HOLISTIC APPROACH WORKS BEST.

Because I’m a personal trainer and a fully qualified sports massage therapist I’ll give you a holistic approach to high performance preparation. One that promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance and helps prevent injuries that are commonplace when athletes push themselves to the limit.

 

I LOVE WHAT I DO.

There’s no going through the motions here. No watching the minutes tick by. I’m a sports lover, who has chosen to make sport my business. But more importantly, I have a genuine passion for helping people achieve their sporting goals by providing personalised sports massage treatment, along with customised personal training programs.

 

I’LL MAKE YOU ACCOUNTABLE TOO

Some health related providers do little to encourage ‘self care’ treatments that would essentially reduce their clients’ need to seek further treatment. I take a different tack. My clients’ needs always come first, and this means providing tools and techniques to help them improve their physical wellbeing by themselves. In fact after every session, I will prescribe a series of self-treatments that are designed to complement my support and provide long-term physical improvement.
